So far, we have seen Elimelech take his wife and two sons to Moab to weather out a famine that has hit his hometown of Bethlehem, “the house of bread.” Naomi was left destitute in Moab after the death of her husband and sons. We have followed glimmers of hope as Naomi heard that God had given His people food back in Bethlehem, and when Naomi realizes that there is a kinsman redeemer for Ruth. Now we are left on the edge of our seats wondering if our hero, Boaz, will be allowed to redeem her. Okay, we have already read through the book and know what happens, but allow yourself to see this last chapter with new eyes and marvel at the provision which God intends to pour out.
