1 Thessalonians 5
Background:
Both letters written to the Thessalonians—as well as to all future believers—are letters of preparation and anticipation. Our Savior’s return is emphasized in both letters. As we wait in anticipation of Christ’s return, Paul provides in this chapter clear instruction on how to keep fully engaged with our own sanctification. A major theme is to “encourage one another.” Chapter 5 is rife with hope and instructive living—helpful for us amidst upheaval and sadness of every kind.
Memory Verse:
“Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23, NLT)
Reflection:
Has your anticipation of the Rapture been increased this week? How will you keep this feeling alive and vibrant?

Obviously I have forgotten how to sign in for the Wednesday Bible study – I cannot sign in. I get an error message that I am not a member of Microsoft Team and I couldn’t find anywhere here to sign in. I’m leaving a message here so that maybe someone can send me instructions on how to once again join Microsoft Teams so that I can participate. I haven’t been there for a couple of weeks so I guess my sign in got cancelled or something. If someone can send me instructions, I would love to once again participate. Thank you so much for all you do to keep us connected. It is very much needed and appreciated.
