2 Timothy 3:10–4:22

Background:

Paul’s final words to Timothy are filled with instruction, wisdom, encouragement, and urgency. Paul knows that his days are coming to an end, and it is time to pass the torch of leadership. He urges Timothy to carry out the ministry God has given him. Paul has lived his life fighting the good fight for Christ, and now it is Timothy’s turn to be the example, teacher, and shepherd to others that Paul has been to him.

Memory Verse:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17, NASB)
