2 Timothy 2:14–3:9
Background:
Paul will share the knowledge he gained from many years of experience so that Timothy may avoid pitfalls in his ministry. Paul will instruct Timothy on how to recognize and deal with false teaching and how to counteract it by always teaching the truth. Like Timothy, we can gain wisdom from this teaching; the words we speak as well as those we refrain from speaking do matter. A wise woman learns when to speak up and when to avoid speaking at all.
Memory Verse:
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15, NASB)
Reflection:
Am I being intentional to focus on what God has before me?

Roxanne,
Thank you for a beautiful summary of Lesson Five. Thank you for challenging us to ask God to reveal our sin so we may be used as His holy vessel.
Be blessed,
