1 Timothy 1–2
Background:
In Paul’s letter to Timothy, we see a mentor encouraging and instructing his younger ministry partner in the day-to-day problems that surface in Ephesus. Paul writes Chapters 1 and 2 in the letter to warn Timothy about false teaching, highlight God’s grace, and instruct on the roles and conduct of men and women in the church. This personal letter to the young pastor provides wise guidelines that we can also follow today.
Memory Verse:
“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me trustworthy, appointing me to His service.” (1 Timothy 1:12, NIV)
Reflection:
How have you reflected on the hope of Heaven over the recent holiday season?
