Background:

God called Abram (later renamed Abraham) to leave his native country, his relatives, and his father’s family without knowing exactly where God was leading him. And yet, by faith Abraham obeyed. His life of faith demonstrates seasons of both tremendous hope and, as time passed with seemingly no change, deep despair. We gain perspective, instruction, wisdom, and much-needed encouragement from Abraham’s life.

Memory Verse:

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” (Psalm 27:13–14, NIV)

Reflection:

How have you thanked God for the friendships He has provided for you?
