Malachi 1:1-4:6

Background:

Malachi, whose name means “My messenger,” tried to tell the people how far they had strayed from God. Malachi had the heart of a pastor—desiring true repentance from the people he was addressing. They had become arrogant and hypocritical, no longer revering the name of the LORD. This final book of the Old Testament ends with a reminder that the day is coming when their long-awaited Messiah will arrive.

Memory Verse:

““But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.” (Malachi 4:2a, NLT)

Reflection:

What are ways you can show God’s love to others in your community?
