Background:

This week we explore God’s promises to us regarding holiness. Ezra exemplifies a life committed to God’s promise of holiness. Ezra was a priest and scribe who was grieved to discover that, while in Babylon, God’s people had strayed from His law and become worldly. God promised to set Israel apart for a special purpose, and He used Ezra to remind His people of this promise of holiness.

Memory Verse:

“Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24, NLT)

Reflection:

How do you wait for God’s comfort when you feel overwhelmed?
