Heavenly Father:
Thank You for loving me and showing me the greatest example of love through Your Son. I pray that the same love You showed me will always be reflected in the words I speak and the actions I take. And thank You, Father, for the care You take in giving us Your most perfect and unique gifts. Please help me use those gifts for Your glory and to be an encouragement to others. And may I always point those around me to Jesus.
In His precious name I pray, Amen
Memory Verse
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13, NLT
Background
Paul continues to address and offer corrections for specific problems in the church that are causing division and disorder among its members. He wants the Corinthians to understand that no member of the church is insignificant. He stresses the importance of building up the church and edifying one another through spiritual gifts and through the most important virtue of all . . . love.
