Background:

This week we explore God’s promises to us regarding purpose. We will hold up Nehemiah’s exemplary faithfulness in following God’s purpose in his life. God used Nehemiah’s vision and lay leadership abilities to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, offering protection and renewed hope to Jewish exiles resettling their ancestral homeland. His story teaches us the importance of confronting challenges in prayer as we press on to fulfill the purpose God Himself has designed for us.

Memory Verse:

”Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21, ESV)

Reflection:

In Psalm 32:8, the Lord says, “I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye” (net). When God looks you in the eye, what does He see?
