Heavenly Father:

Slow me down this week as we study issues not often addressed in our world today. All Scripture is profitable and applicable, so open my heart to see how I can apply what I learn this week. Mold me and shape me through Your Word.

Background

In this section, Paul continues his corrective portion of the letter. He will give instruction for dealing with food offered to idols, idolatry, head coverings, and the Lord’s Supper. He will also explain and defend his choice of ministry without salary. Paul is patient and thorough as he tries to get this church back on track.
