I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord is your keeper—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your comings and goings both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121)

As I’ve been praying about various issues and wondering just how God would answer, I thought about Psalm 121.  I wrote this whole Psalm out on a notecard and have had it posted just above my computer for the last several years. Even though this passage has been etched on my heart for some time now, the thought of these verses continually bring tears to my eyes.

The Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth, is my Help. He doesn’t slumber or sleep, and He is my keeper.  The mighty God who created everything is my keeper!!!    He is the protector of my soul, my heart, and my eternity.

We often say there is nothing too big for God to handle. What we don’t focus on enough, though, is that there is also nothing too small for God to handle. You never have to worry about praying about the little items in your life because God cares about those things too! Spend a few moments right now and talk to God about the little things in your life.  Give Him all your concerns, because He cares about everything and is your help, your defender, and your keeper!
