Background:

The Bible does not leave us wondering what God thinks about grief and joy. In John 16:33, Jesus tells us we will have many trials and sorrows in this world, but the exciting thing is He has overcome the world! He gives us the life stories of everyday men and women who are suffering. He also provides us with His precious promises to lean and rely on. One such man of sorrow is Job. Through his story, God reveals that we will go through periods of grief and sorrow, but He is with us, walking beside us, guiding and illuminating our path. As we rest in His shadow, we will find peace and joy in Him.

Memory Verse:

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each
one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8, NLT)
