Father:

As I study this week’s lesson, remind me to have an eternal perspective in all circumstances. I long to be with You forever in Your presence in heaven. Teach my heart to focus only on You, Your Word, and Your promises.

In Christ’s name I pray, Amen.

Memory Verse

“And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.” Revelation 22:3, NKJV

Background

It can sometimes be hard to remember all the many things God has promised that we can look forward to. Although this life can be distracting, keeping your heart and mind hopeful for the things to come can change your daily outlook and perspective on the circumstances of this life.

Personal Response to God

As followers of Jesus Christ, we have so much to look forward to! A beautiful eternity is in our future with details that we have not even begun to be able to imagine! Spend some time thinking about heaven. Who do you hope to meet? What do you hope to see? What trials of this life will you be free from and never think about again? Pray and thank God for all the good things He has in store for you that you do not even know about yet!

“But just as it is written: ‘THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HUMAN HEART, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.'”
—1 Corinthians 2:9, NASB
