Contend for the Faith
As women who follow Jesus, how can we discern false teachings from what is true? Join us for Stonebriar Women’s newest original study, Contend for the Faith, to learn how to guard yourself against deception and grow spiritually in the true faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
After a wonderful fall semester in Galatians and Jude, we will resume in the spring to study 1, 2, and 3 John. As we read through these New Testament letters, it will seem as if we’re reading about modern-day issues that churches face today, as each one addresses sneaky false teachings that can creep into churches at any time.
Today, progressive Christianity peddles lies that many believers do not even realize are wrong, and unfortunately, many Christians blindly accept teachings that have no basis in Scripture. Purposely taking verses out of context or twisting their intended meanings has led people to adhere to false gospels, ultimately causing them to believe in a different Jesus than the one described in the Bible. Contend for the Faith will help you identify false teachings and stand firm on the truth of Scripture.
Early registration has now ended, but we offer walk-in registration each Wednesday in the upstairs B lobby beginning January 15th. If you have questions, reach out to Pilar Hansen at pilarh@stonebriar.org.
